A Study abroad program like no other
The Behavioral Ecology of African Mammals program (or B.E.A.M.) is a unique and unforgettable study abroad experience that gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience conducting field research and studying the behavioral ecology of some of Africa's most iconic species. Students spend three weeks in the savannah observing animal behavior, engaging in projects and presentations, and learning about the local cultures and ecosystems. Any undergraduate student looking to pursue a career in veterinary sciences, field research, zoology, conservation, wildlife biology, animal behavior, or science education is encouraged to apply!
Although this program is run through the study abroad department at Michigan State University, you do not need to attend Michigan State University to apply.
